Bob
Welcome to Bob's View of the world !
Who's Bob?
I have been a mail carrier, jewelry salesman, convenience store clerk, insurance salesman, sold pots and pans door to door, the editor of two newspapers and one magazine, a professional photographer, and was in public relations for sixteen years for an international company. I was a golf caddy, harvested grain by hand on a university's experimental farm, was a 16 year old uniformed-flashlight carrying usher in a movie theater, sold new homes, collected bad debts, and was a phone-bank solicitor for the Special Olympics. I also clerked in a mini-mart, was a dispatcher for a gas station wholesaler, managed a motel, worked for a food broker and took baby pictures in a chain of department stores. Been there, done that...got the T-shirt.
I am an army veteran having served in the field artillery in Germany during the Cold War...see page 3. I used to fly and owned a $900 little two-place, yellow, fabric covered airplane. That was 1962-'64 when airplanes were much cheaper. It was a "puddle jumper" and pure joy to fly. The photo to the left is me in my Civil Air Patrol flight suit just before take off in a WWII AT-6 to learn some additional aerobatics (age 69).
I am publishing this site to share my stories, fictional and true, offer musings and opinions about everything under the sun. I got the "bug" to write when I was praised by my fifth grade teacher for a story I wrote about being lost in the jungle. I've never stopped writing.
